A trip to the Marine Center

Hello, I am Scott Davis, and I just got back from my visit to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach. After the visit, I learned some things about rescue centers that I didn't know before.

When I was on my way there, I thought that it would a fun experience to see the volunteers playing with the animals. But that wasn't exactly what I saw. This year, there are a lot of washed up baby seals, and damaged ones. They take them in and tube feed them. And then they keep giving them liquids until they can eat fish, which then they usually separate them because they aren't competitive. Eventually, they keep building them up until they can compete, and when they put on enough weight and can compete for food, then they will be released.

But they need resources. The PMMC is running low because of the outburst in cubs this time of year. They are starving. But we can help. We can help by donating money towards the PMMC, or donating blankets to keep them warm, Karo syrup to feed the cubs, and Pedialyte to feed the cubs. They need Pedialyte because they cant eat fish yet, they need to develop, just like infants cannot eat hard food. I'm doing a drive on march 14, and obviously, you might not be close, but you can donate to your local marine center. So take a stand and help the animals in the sea. Thank you.
